BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Saturday, 20th May 2017 - IET Brunei Darussalam members and the BAPEQS Secretariat attended the Briefing on 'INTRODUCTION OF BAPEQS TO IET BRUNEI DARUSSALAM MEMBERS' at The Rizqun Hotel Brunei Darussalam.
The guest of honour was Yang Mulia Dr. Norimtihan Binti Haji Abd Razak, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Development and was greeted upon arrival by Yang Mulia Hajah Fatimah binti Haji Md Ali.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Yang Mulia Awang Haji Jailani bin Haji Buntar.
This was then followed by a Welcoming Speech delivered by Yang Mulia Dr. Norimtihan Binti Haji Abd Razak, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Development.

The event continued with the presentation of "INTRODUCTION OF BAPEQS TO IET BRUNEI DARUSSALAM" by Yang Mulia Norhafizah Binti Haji Hamdani, an officer from the Authority of Building Control and Construction Industry, Ministry of
Development.
Yang Mulia Dr. Norimtihan Binti Haji Abd Razak, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Development also delivered her presentation on Continuous Professional Education (CPE) to the members of IET Brunei Darussalam. The objectives of CPE are to Ensure Architects,
Professional Engineers and Quantity Surveyors (APEQS) stay in touch with latest developments of the Profession; Organize and/or approve courses to promote CPE opportunities; Set out rules and requirements for the implementation of 'CPE' for APEQS; Provide guidelines on how APEQS can participate, record and monitor their CPE activities to meet the 'CPE' requirements; To set out guideline on the implementation and requirements of CPE for Architects, Professional Engineers and Quantity Surveyors and To meet certain points for the renewal of registration of Practicing Certificate.
BAPEQS Website was then introduced to the IET Brunei Darussalam members by Yang Mulia Dayang Nurul Jannah binti Haji Alim, an officer from the Board of
Architects, Professional Engineers and Quantity Surveyors, Ministry of
Development.
